Le bois de Dieleghem, situé le long de la rue Bonaventure, forme avec les bois du Laerbeek et du Poelbos, un remarquable ensemble forestier de plus de 50 hectares situé dans la périphérie nord-ouest de Bruxelles.
Cet ensemble boisé constitue un complexe d’aires de nourrissage essentiel pour 12 espèces de chauves-souris. Les arbres creux ou morts du bois leur servent aussi de gîte.
La population de perruches est particulièrement importante dans le bois de Dieleghem : perruches à collier comme dans de nombreux autres espaces verts du nord de Bruxelles, mais aussi perruches alexandre. plus grandes que les perruches à collier, cette espèce constitue la troisième du genre à s’être installée à Bruxelles.
Samen met het Laarbeek- en het Poelbos vormt het Dielegembos – langs de Bonaventurestraat – een merkwaardige woudzone van meer dan 50 hectaren, aan de noordwestelijke rand van Brussel.
Dit beboste complex vormt een geheel van essentiële voedergebieden voor de twaalf soorten vleermuizen. De holle of dode bomen in het bos gebruiken ze als schuilplaats.
De parkietenpopulatie in het Dielegembos is zeer omvangrijk. Er zijn halsbandparkieten zoals in veel andere groene ruimten in het noorden van Brussel, maar ook Alexanderparkieten. Die zijn groter dan de halsbandparkieten en vormen de derde variëteit die zich in Brussel vestigde.
The Dieleghem wood located along rue Bonaventure, forms together with the Laerbeek wood and Poelbos wood a remarkable forest entity of more than 50 hectares in the northwestern suburbs of Brussels.
This wooded area forms an essential complex of feeding areas for 12 species of bats which are also using the hollow or dead trees in the wood as places of refuge.
The population of parakeets is particularly important in the Dieleghem wood: you can find ring-necked parakeets as in many other green spaces in the northern part of Brussels, but also Alexandrine parakeets, who are larger than the ring-necked parakeets and represent the third species having settled in Brussels.
