What a lovely spot this is..an a really lovely drive up. On the way you might wonder whether is is ok to drive your car up.. yes it is, the cache was placed in a Toyota Camry and you can safely drive to within about 10 meters of GZ, sealed road all the way, and there is a turning area at the end.
We've been around this area for years.. but this has to be one of the nicest little roads I have ever traveled up around here. And to place a cache of decent size was the order of the day.
Just like the other cache nearby GPS Accuracy was quite a challenge - EPE at the time of reading was 10 mtrs. As such I have posted a spoiler pic of me pointing to the location, it's a dead give away.
The cache itself is a 30Cal Ammo can which is painted black, it does hide quite well in the bush here. At time of placement, if you look, you can actually see it quite easily from just standing up beside it, no need to squat down, turn over logs etc.. I had a few leaves scattered on top just to offer some camouflage and avoid detection.
In this location there can be quite high rainfall so things could possibly move over time. Gloves are not needed but would come in handy. We ventured a little further up the track looking for hiding spots but when said wife found leech making it's way up her shoe that was the end of that. I never saw any other leeches but do be wary.
cache is located on the Right hand side as you are walking up hill.
We hope you enjoy this location.. the hummingbird cakes at the local cafe - the trading post, are a favorite - it's just down the road in Mt Macedon.
Whilst not needed, you may also find the notes on the area on the back page in the log book of GC:Holy Wall come in handy when looking for this cache.
The same must be said, it's public land but still very private to please do respect that. I found a Camera to be taking pictures quite a good alibi.
