Geocache Description:

In Plovdiv there is the only monument of gratitude. It has nothing to do with the mother, as many suggest, nor a local revival. The monument is quite modest, simple, no pomp and unnecessary intrusiveness. It is located in the central part of town to the house of the newlyweds, and is an expression of gratitude to the Bulgarian Jews. It reads a short inscription in Hebrew and English: "With gratitude to all who helped our salvation on 10/03/1945 From the grateful Jews. "

The monument was opened on March 10, 1998 and is the place where in 1943 the same day Miami Jews were gathered, waiting to be deported. The citizens of this city are not allowed and an order is canceled. The shape of the monument is in the form of the Shofar - a ritual horn, used in services Saturday. It is the work of the sculptor is Atanas Karadechev.

Cache size is NANO. You may need to want to use tweezers to remove the logbook and bring your own pencil or pen (BYOP).
