Geocache Description:

Can you imagine this whole location full of water, as a result of a massive flood - a flood which rose up over the bridge, and beyond - so much so, that there was completely no access over the bridge for quite some time.

Well, many years ago, this needn't be imagined, as it actually occurred! The whole place flooded, and the bridge was closed off for many days until the water level had lowered enough to a safe level. This flood also extended to other parts of Gawler, too, so it became quite a catastrophy. However, since the flood, no other major floods have occurred.
