Cross the water or ice and do a bit of bush-wacking and you're there.
The island can be reached by an easy paddle during the summer months and it can also be reached during the winter by walking across the ice or snowmobiling, with the safest and recommended departure point near MacCallum’s Point past Lower Bedeque (Reference Point #1). Mosquito repellant and appropriate clothing are required during the spring and summer, and snowshoes are required during the winter. There are no facilities on the island, so food, water, a first aid kit and a cell-phone are recommended.
