Geocache Description:

This is the second cache in the 'Just What is it You Do, Again? series.

Apothecary is a historical name for a medical professional who formulates and dispenses stuff to physicians, surgeons and patients; a role now served by a pharmacist or if you like, a chemist. In addition to pharmacy responsibilities, the apothecary offered general medical advice and a range of services that are now performed generally by other specialist practitioners, such as doctors and midwifes. Apothecaries often operated through a retail shop which, in addition to ingredients for medicines, sold tobacco and patented medicines. In its investigation of herbal and chemical ingredients, the work of the apothecary may be regarded as a precursor of the modern sciences of chemistry and pharmacology. In the early days of pharmacy in Australia a code was used to bring some consistency to the pricing of prescriptions. You will need to find this code to work out the coordinates. The actual cache is located at the following coordinates . S 34° MS.PTO E 138° TT.NOP You are looking for a micro sized container in a rather obvious spot where the name says it all. Stealth is recommended during daylight hours as this can be a busy place during office hours
