Geocache Description:

Click to visit the frozen world of winter.

This cache series celebrates the diversity of wildlife Connecticut has to offer. One way to characterize Connecticut wildlife is how it copes with winter. These include migrating, taking a catnap, hibernating, to torpor or continue to remain active.

The Active are a group of animals that keep going during the coldest months. They may grow extra fur or even grow a different colored fur for camouflage. Tracking these animals in the winter snow can be a lot of fun. Below are some of the Connecticut Active.

The Siskin The Rabbit The Red Fox The Whitetail Deer The White Winged Crossbill

Note the number on the inside of the cache lid. You will need this to find Winter Wildlife – Final. As always, enjoy the adventure!
