Just one more thing... The catch phrase of Lt Columbo played by Peter Falk, the method he used to trip the suspect up once they were "at ease" and they thought that the Lt was off of their tail. The Columbo series ran 11 seasons with 5 special episodes starting in 1971 with several breaks in-between seasons.
Unlike most Mystery shows of today where you learn as much about the suspect and the evidence as it is released, giving the audience a chance to have an "AHA" moment when they figure out the suspect and motive before it is revealed or discovered by the TV detective. Columbo was different. The beginning of the show revealed the "who, what why and where" of the crime. The audience carefully watched as the TV detective unraveled the clues knowing the whole time the full details of this weeks mystery. The last new special episode aired January 30 2003.
I thought it was about time to put Lt Columbo back to work. This time with a twist. You get to play the role of Lt Columbo to discover "Where is the Mystery Cache?".

"By Dawn's Early Light"
This is one of my favorite episodes. Set at a military school, the commandant frames a cadet for a murder by rigging a cannon to blow up. I liked this one because it was filmed on location at The Citadel in Charleston SC. It really shows the beauty of the campus before Hurricane Hugo took out most of the trees. This episode originally aired (1H/E7/74). It also features Patrick McGoohan as the murder. Patrick appeared in other episodes of Columbo. In total Columbo solved A cases with Patrick McGoohan portraying different murderers.
"Fade in to Murder"
Gotta love William Shatner "Hi, I'm not a detective, but I play one on TV..." as he tries to debunk Lt columbo from his trail. This episode originally aired (10/1I//76). It also had C cast members from the original Star Trek Series
the Sixth season which ran from 1976–1977 had F episodes.
"Death Hits the Jackpot"
It really does stink to hit the lottery. This is shown by Gary Kroeger in this episode. Looks like Gary was a victim 3 times in this episode which aired (1G/1B/91)
The Columbo Series Got off to a slow start, Between 1968–1971 D Pilots were filmed.
J = the total number of episodes presented in seasons SEVEN & EIGHT.
