Geocache Description:

On the weekend before Valentines, join your caching friends to share your love of caching at this Event Cache, Saturday 6th February, 6:30 pm onwards

As the winter days become lighter and we can get out caching more often, we figured that everyone might like to show their appreciation of their significant other with a pre-Valentine's evening out ... at a Caching Event.

* * * Due to the fantastic response to the event you are strongly encouraged to call them and book a table on 01823 480467 - please tell them you're part of the Geocaching party * * *

* * * Sample menu now in the Gallery * * *

With that in mind, we hope you can join us at The Square & Compass, only 5 minutes from Junction 25 of the M5 and 5 minutes from the A303 at Ilminster. No agenda, discover & trade bugs / coins or just talk caching or whatever you like ...

Any travellers with missions to make it to Australia can be checked in with ESM ...

We will also be holding a raffle ...

There may be some competitions ...

The pub is child & dog friendly and has a beer garden outside

Cooked by the landlady, the generously served bar food includes sandwiches, filled baguettes and baked potatoes, ploughman's, soup, hot garlic king prawns, local sausages with onion gravy, ham and egg, mushroom stroganoff, sweet and sour pork, chicken with bacon and stilton, lambs kidneys braised with sherry and dijon mustard, mixed grill, and puddings such as banoffi pie or chocolate fudge cake.

Please let us know by Saturday Jan 30th if you are planning on eating; so we can give them an idea of numbers out of courtesy.

There has been a pub at Windmill Hill for around 200 years. The owners, Chris and Janet Slow, are now celebrating their 12th year and in that time have built up a reputation for very good food and drink in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
