Trams were and still are important means of public transport in Budapest. They carry thousands of people all around the city from the main transport hubs to the suburbs and back. The Budapest Tram Hunting series present all types of trains used in Budapest as well as the underground (or metro as we call it). The hunting for each of them will give you the opportunity to zig-zag across the city and see some of the main hubs and several interesting sites. For the recommended route see the spoiler map.
In order to find the caches you have to get on the trams and travel several stops. It is recommended to purchase a one-day travel card (1550 HUF) which will cover the fare of public transport usage for the entire day. If you find all 7 caches you`ll get the co-ordinates for the BONUS one.

The 21 new cars required for the reconstruction in 1973 were delivered by the Ganz Electrical Works. The vehicle structure was fabricated by the Ganz MÁVAG Locomotive, Wagon and Machine Works. The FAV (Underground Railway) vehicles did a significant abount of kilometres between 1973 and 1995. The 21 cars completed the 720000 kms required within the J2 reparation cycle and the J2/II. reparation cycle had begun. A partial modernization of the FAV vehicles had been carried out during the reconstructional shutdown in 1995.

A budapesti villamosvadászat sorozat bemutatja a jelenleg üzemben lévö villamos típusokat, valamint a metrót, a kis földalattit és a fogaskerekü vasutat. Ha minden típust le akarsz velünk vadászni, bejárhatod a város számos közlekedési csomópontját és nevezetességét. A sorozat egy útvonalra füzve végigjárható, amelyet a spoiler térkép mutat. Ahhoz, hogy az elrejtett ládákat megtaláld, fel kell szállnod a bemutatott jármüre. Javasoljuk, hogy legyen napijegyed (1550 HUF) vagy havi bérleted. Ha mind a 7 cache-t begyüjtötted, megkeresheted a sorozat BONUS-át.

Az 1973. évi rekonstrukcióhoz szükséges 21 új jármüvet fovállalkozóként a Ganz Villamossági Müvek szállította. Jármüszerkezeti részüket a Ganz-MÁVAG Mozdony-, Vagon- és Gépgyár készítette.
A FAV-jármüvek 1973 óta az 1995. évi vonali rekonstrukció megkezdéséig igen jelentös futáskm-t teljesítettek. Az 1973-ban beszerzett 21 jármü lefutotta a J2 jelü javítási ciklusra meghatározott 720 000 km futásteljesítményt és jelenleg már megkezdték a J2/II. jelü második föjavítás folyamatos végzését is. Az 1995. évi pályarekonstrukció üzemszünete lehetövé tette a FAV-jármüvek részleges korszerüsítését.
