This cache is hidden on the bluff overlooking the historic Red Car Line and what’s left of the largest fishing industry in the United States.
The Red Car Line is a 1.5 mile rail trolley route linking the World Cruise Center with attractions along the San Pedro waterfront. The line uses three authentic replicas of the famous Pacific Electric “Red Cars” (electric trolleys) that served Los Angeles until 1961, running on part of an historic Red Car route. It marks the first time in over forty years that Red Cars have run anywhere in Los Angeles.
For much of the last 100 years, San Pedro and Terminal Island were home to the largest fishing industry in the United States. In 1937, the San Pedro fishing fleet numbered nearly 500 boats. Today the fleet is down to less than a few dozen tenacious commercial fishing vessels. None of the over 15 canneries that once occupied San Pedro and Terminal Island are left. The last closed in 2001. Most of the work has moved offshore to low-wage countries, first to American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the Philippines and now to Southeast Asia.
Take some time to enjoy the view and the history. Wave to the Red Car passengers if you are fortunate enough to see the car pass by!

We replaced the old hide with a new camo and moved out of the bougainvillea . You will need to bring your own pen and possibly a TOT to remove the log.
