Geocache Description:

In conjunction with the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the BC
Geocaching Association has encouraged communities across the
province to host geocaching events with the Light the Geotorch
theme. Cariboo Cachers will host an event to teach new comers to
the game more about geocaching and give the more experienced an
opportunity for a geo-Olympic day of fun.

Meet in the meeting room at the Cariboo Regional District Library.
Go in the side door entrance not the main library entrance. 10:00AM
– 3:00PM . This event is for anyone interested in learning
more about geocaching, those that have just started geocaching and
also for the more experienced and even the very experienced!

Cariboo Cachers will be setting up practice caches for those needed
a little experience and there will be geo cachers on hand to help
you with your new GPSr's.

If you already have the experience and are ready for a day of fun
grab one of the Geo Olympic Activity sheets and go out and find the
caches!

Cariboo Cachers will supply coffee and donuts. It is suggested that
you either pack a bag lunch which you can eat in the meeting room
or feel free to enjoy one of the local eating establishments.

We will wrap up the event at: 3PM There will be prizes for the Geo
Olympic Activity caches and door prizes. It is also possible that
there will be some new caches posted in conjunction with this
event. There are at least 6 nearby caches within a comfortable
walking distance of the event location and many more locally. If
the weather is bad we will just hold the event inside and give
outdoor instruction weather permitting.

Thank you to Landsharkz for their generous donations of the medals for the event.
