Geocache Description:

You are searching for an ammo can containing a log and trade items.
Coordinates bring you to a location distant from the cache. Use
clues contained in the story and at the listed location to
determine the cache coordinates.

My dear adventurer, I have an unbelievable tale to tell. The tale begins a long time ago when I was a young child. My father would entertain me (and little to my knowledge discipline me) with his story of the Coulee Monster. This mythical creature was said to dwell in its namesake waterways of South Louisiana. In the evening, when all of the little Cajun children were asleep, the Coulee Monster would peek into windows searching for trinkets left out of their proper places. He would then enter the house to steal these toys and return with them to his lair.

As time passed my discipline diminished as belief in the in the creature waned. Then something strange happened. You see, it seems I forgot to put away some of my caching supplies and trade items one evening. In the morning all of my trinkets were gone. In their place was left strange numbers written in yellowish orange and black. Im sure you, being an experienced adventurer, know that is a sign that a Coulee Monster was there.

I ask of you, my fellow cacher to help find what was taken from me. Follow the posted coordinates to clues left by the Coulee Monster. These clues will allow you to determine the coordinates to the location of a lamp post. Under this lamp post is the Coulee Monsters cache. You will know when you are walking on the right track. The question is, is it 1 mile or two? Do you dare to leave the beaten path into the Coulee Monster’s lair?
