This wunderful valley is a part of the Mor Ditch that separates the mountains Bakony and Vertes of the Transdanubian Medium Mountains.
Many million years ago this whole area was covered by the Tethys sea and all the stones here originated in millions of years from sediments.
Tectonic movements lifted and broke this stones, the Transdanubian Medium Mountains arose.
After this time erosion by wind and water shaped this landscape and the Gaja creek created its 4 km long picturesque valley between rocks of 100 m height.
You will also find lots of caves along the path.
Please attention this is a Nature Protection Area it is not allowed to leave the marked ways.
It can be visited free but only between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm but recommended better at daylight (Winter ! )

1. the name of the substance which constitutes the rocks in this mountains.

2. the number of the known caves in the rocks along the path.

3. how many meters deeper is the water level of the creek after 4 kilometer in the valley.
4. take a photo somewhere in the valley with your GPSr with coordinates and upload with your log.
