Geocache Description:

Just take the 20 minute ferry ride across the bay from Hermitage to visit the historical town of Gaultois where whaling was carried out in the 1800s. It's the only place in North America where the Hargreaves Rocket Gun was used to hunt whales. Lamy Island, locally known as Whale Island, at the entrance to the harbour was the location of a whaling factory.

While there, take time to have a walk around and meet the friendly people. Who knows, there could be a party somewhere.

A small (~ 4 inch) diameter screw cap rubbermaid container with a small notepad/logbook and a number of key chains and trinkets inside.

This cache is easy to access but needs imagination to find.
