This cache has been archived.

thumb tack: Had not seen any activity for a while so I went and checked on it. The cache has gone missing for the second time so I am archiving it. Had some fun with this one and am thinking about another one. Thanks to all those that stopped by.

Geocache Description:

It is a micro. Should be an easy find. Please put back as you found it. Thanks

Hickson was founded in 1876 when the town of Strathallen was bypassed by the new Port Dover and Lake Huron Railway, which went in east of the anticipated location. A new village was created at the whistle-stop, and Strathallan slowly faded away as community members relocated, along with a few houses moved by the milk factory. The new village was named after Sir Joseph Hickson, the general manager of the Grand Trunk Railway, who never saw the village in his lifetime.

Hickson is such a nice village and it needs to have its first geocache. Sometimes development can be very slow. This project has been on the books for several years and I do not expect it will proceed any time soon. While there is no need to get close to the water there is a steep bank to avoid. Very small container so you will need to bring your own pen or pencil. Need to be tall or have a long reach. Hope you enjoy our beautiful village.

Let me know when the log is getting full so I can put in a new one.

Congratulation on the first to find Amethyst&Yanahlua
