Placed by a Vermont Navy Veteran in honor of all Vermont Veterans. My goal is to get more people to visit this beautiful cemetery, and to share one of my favorite places in Vermont.
The Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery is centrally located in the State, adjacent to the Vermont Technical College Campus in Randolph Center, Vermont. Take exit 4, I-89 onto Rt 66 east for 2 miles to Randolph Center, left at the intersection to the first right pass Floyds' General Store onto Furnace Road. The cemetery is at the end of Furnace Road (approximately one half mile off Rt. 66 pass the entrance sign).
Cache is located just to the east of the Cemetery. Park outside the entrance and walk up the road through the cemetery and then into the woods along an old logging road. May need snowshoes in the winter. The road from the edge of the cemetery to the cache may be overgrown with berry bushes late summer and into the fall.
This cache is not what some would consider a "vacation cache". Although I am currently living in VA, I grew up in this area and still have family and friends that will check on or repair this cache if needed. Please send me an email if you think it needs some attention.
