Geocache Description:

This is the first in the Old Skool series. The Old Skool series is a series that take the geocacher to historic or admirable buildings that were once schools.

This particular cache is hidden at the Cedar Grove One Room School House in Sybertsville, Pennsylvania just north of Hazleton. The Cedar Grove School is one of the original schools houses in Sugarloaf Township. There was also Pine Grove, Brown's Grove, and Robert's Elementary. It is located behind the Brainerd Presbyterian Church, which was built in 1853, damaged in 1954 by Hurricane Hazel, and underwent reparations in the 1980's. The church is named after Rev. David Brainerd, who was a missionary to Native Americans during the 1740's. Photobucket Above is a photo of the Cedar Grove School today.
