Geocache Description:

This cache is located at 2,200 feet on Harbor Mountain in the Buchanan State Forest. Easy to get to other than a few thorns. Make sure you have 4WD when the snow is on the ground as there is no winter maintenance.

The Buchanan State Forest was named in honor of James Buchanan, 15th President of the United States. The area consists of five principle tracts that cover seventy-five thousand acres of Commonwealth owned forest lands, administered by the Bureau of Forestry. This spot in the western part of the forest is great for a little picnic after finding the cache, bring a blanket though. There are also several hiking trails in the area. Check out DCNR's website for more information. Also, if you are lucky, on a breezy day you may get to watch hang gliders taking off from the overlook! Be sure to wear orange during the appropriate times of the year. Congrats to CAMODUDE for FTF!
