The Summer Cottage Traditional Cache

This is more about the hike than the hide. Once you get to the COORDs it will be quite apparent why this cache is so named. This is our first hide and wanted to show nature lovers one of my favorite places.
This is a great area , but not for beginning hikers, it can be a LONG hike if you make the full loop, and elevation gain is a factor.
The container is a 1qt nalgene bottle,contining log, pencils, tissues, and a dice game ( for trading or simply playing while taking a rest stop here), and 1 of our Family Frogs ( he would enjoy hopping around). it is a fairly easy find, once you get to the COORDs. This is a fairly unexplored region and only 1 or 2 other caches in the immediate vicintity. I would suggest parking at the experimental forest station and following the road/trail on the north east side of the buildings. This is at the moment in the process of a small logging operation, but once you are past the cut zone, simply follow the valley east watching for the trail to climb STEEPLY to your right (approx 1.3 miles in). Once you find the trail it is very clear but the logging has not been kind to the trailhead area. As I said it is NOT for BEGINNERS. if you combine this with the Mt. Deception cache you could be looking at between a 8 to 10 mile hike, dependent on your choice of exit route.
