The Gladesville Bridge forms part of busy Victoria Road (S40) arching over the Parramatta River. The road is known as the slowest in Sydney's notorious peak hour, averaging 21 km/h.
At the time of its completion, the bridge was the longest single span concrete arch ever constructed.
The top of the bridge is approximately 50 metres above the water and provides a spectacular view of Sydney and the greater western suburbs.

The view from the summit
To find the geocache you must walk to the top of the bridge - either side is fine. Here you will find a large plaque providing information such as the contractor, designer, height, date of commencement and completion, etc.
In total there are 25 digits, starting on the line "The overall length of the bridge ...". The first digit, which is a '1', will be represented by the letter A (A=1), the next will be letter B ... and the final digit is Y (Y=4).
The cache is hidden at the following coordinates:
S 33° 50.LXN E 151° 08.S(B-U)(R-F)
Checksum: If you add the south coordinates you should end up with 26 and the east coordinates add up to 35.
NOTE: As mentioned earlier, the plaque appears on both sides of the road. Do not under any circumstances cross the road or stop you car on the bridge. There are many places to park your car at either end of the bridge.
