Geocache Description:

There is parking for a few cars at Fangs Brow. Follow the path towards Loweswater, passing through 4 gates. At the fourth follow the path to the left. The cache is approximately 1.5 miles from the road.

The cache is on the footpath and you do not need to do any climbing or scrambling.

There is a good footpath, but not suitable for disabled

This cache is on the corpse road from Loweswater to St. Bees. The first mention of a religious building at Loweswater dates from 1125 and bodies were reputedly carried along the corpse road for burial at St. Bees. (Glad I wasn't a pall bearer)

After visiting the cache a walk through Holme Wood (National Trust) is highly recommended with many trails through the woods and a good view of Holme Force waterfall. Wildlife includes red squirrels and deer regulary seen. We also regularly hear the woodpecker, but have yet to catch a sighting.

The cache contains a geocoin, a travel bug and fridge magnet.
