16th Sept '14: BACK IN ACTION! NEW BALL INSTALLED & PUZZLE REPAIRED.
This puzzle cache is easy to find, but should pose a decent challenge to open.
Woodhouses Lane is a bridleway (even though some maps suggest it is a fully-fledged road) so leave your car at the Burntwood end.
Walk for 7-9 minutes east (or 3-4 minutes west if approaching from the Woodhouses end of the lane) until you come across a wooded track heading south downhill towards the main road.
New for '14: "Le Maze" puzzle cache now requires considerable patience and dexterity to open. Remains as straightforward to find as its predecessors, but allow 10 minutes or more to unlock it.
To unlock the cache, navigate the ball bearing through the maze until reaching the sliding catch. With the ball inside the sliding mechanism, shift it from left to right in order to release the catch and unlock the door. This may take some time, so remain patient and DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO FORCE IT OPEN. If the maze proves too challenging, simply leave it shut and walk away with your pride and dignity intact.
Be sure to correctly place the door back in position and re-camouflage the cache with ivy or leaves. Be wary of the brambles and fungi.
26th April 2014: New cache installed after previous container was reported missing. Maisons du Bois III is now back and harder than ever!
24th April 2013: Stylish & compact new container for '13! Since January '13, its hiding place is now slightly different to the previous cache. Hopefully a bit more challenging now. I have finally changed the hint accordingly.
I first placed this cache in Jan 2010 after reading the Daily Telegraph's Weekend article on Geocaching.
