This is a small but respectful series of small, easily found geocaches.
These locations as well as the stories behind them may surprise you.
Spartanburg opened South Carolina's first commercial airport in 1927. Near the cache location is a large unusually worded (at least by today’s standards) monument.
Efforts to have it removed, edited or changed have been defeated, and it remains in its original state as a continuous reminder of America's past.
Also nearby is a circle of other associated monuments that also fit the theme.
This cache is at the paved parking lot, and as such, you will not need enter a secured area.
