Remember......The Italian Kitchen?

This cache is part of my ‘Remember……?’ series. I grew up in this area and decided to hide caches at places that were special to me back in the day. All of the places are closed, gone, or rebuilt into something different. If you’ve been in this area since the mid-80s or so, you’ll probably remember these places. If you’re new to the area, then here’s some historical information for you! I’ve researched the history of the establishment that was at the location, but since most of these places have been closed since before the internet was prominent sometimes the information is tough to gather.
Anyway, hope you enjoy this cache and this series. If you remember any of the places in this series, please let us all know in your log. Thanks for searching for my caches!
The Italian Kitchen was a small, family run Italian restaurant that I used to love as a kid. It closed several years ago and the building was demolished. There isn’t much info online about the restaurant and I don’t know much about its history. I just know that I ate there often in 80s and loved everything they served. We’d often hang out there for a long time with friends, playing songs on the juke box and drinking Root Beer. I remember loving the food, but back then I wasn’t much of a critic; I ate just about anything I got my hands on! This place was a part of my childhood that I’ll never forget…too bad it’s gone today, but the memories will last forever.
Bonus info: the Mansour Center, which is across the street from the cache loation used to be a free-standing Sears store. One of the only Sears locations I can remember outside of a mall.
BYOP - there is no room for a pen.
