Hogback Hollow Cache Traditional Cache

This cache is located along the Susquehannock Trail System in
Hogback Hollow. The trail is moderately easy to hike and the cache
shouldn't prove too difficult to find.
This is not a "destination" cache in that there are no spectacular
landforms, waterfalls or the like to see when you get there. It was
placed with the STS hiker in mind as a diversion while
through-hiking. The cache is located near the convergence of the
STS, and Log Grade trails. It can be reached by hiking the STS
between Cherry Springs Fire Tower and Short Run. It can also be
reached via the Log Grade Trail or the Deck Lane Trail. The
coordinates given are for the sign at the trail junction. The
actual cache is an ammo can located off the trail about 90 paces
(of a 6 ft. man) on a bearing of 240 degrees from the sign.
