Short hike over some rough terrain to the cache site. Had a bit of trouble getting out of here with all the recent melting snow and mud.
Note to FTF: After you find the cache look over to your left about a metre. It may help you get back out of there.
We wanted to place a cache within view of Galt Island. Apparently years ago there was a dance hall on the island that would frequently hold cabarets for all the locals. Folks from Medicine Hat could board the river boat and ride up river to the island for a night of dancing and partying. In recent history (~3 years ago) I watched a couple of small water bombers fighting a fire on the island. Good local entertainment.
