Geocache Description:

Green Pond Trailhead

The cache, an ammo box painted nutmeg, is covered with deadfall, next to a mostly buried boulder in a small copse of scrub oak.

Begin walking at the Green Pond Trailhead on the south loop of SR 226 - since this road just opened in late 2000, it may not be on your maps. Hiking time 1 way - 10-15 minutes. Cache is 300 feet off the trail. If you pick the right route you will not need to whack a single bush.

A couple of miles down the road you can see Grizzly and Wild Flower, the courses where the Olympic Downhill took place in Feb, 2002.
