In recognition of j3yoda’s 2000th find, we have placed a
three-stage multi. The original final was a shiny gold ammo can for
a final. But it went missing, followed by the next one, followed by
the next one. So the new final is a camo'd preform, tethered in
place.
In an effort to recognize those who pass a major milestone,
Special Ed and Fallen Faery have started the tradition of placing
milestone caches. Caches will be placed for every 1000 found.
It’s just a small way to congratulate local cachers and their
efforts.
It seems like just a couple of months ago that we were placing
j3yoda's commemorative 1000th cache. Wait! It
WAS just a couple of months ago! Our boy went from 1000 to
2000 in about two and a half months. That’s dedication.
But j3yoda has one flaw - he loses stuff, beginning with the
time he lost his GPS while being stung by angry, anti-geocaching
bees. But he has also has the odd ability to find his lost objects
again in miraculous fashion. For example, he lost his Blackberry
when caching one day. Lo and behold, someone found it and returned
it to him. (That funny story gave rise to a nice cache.) And then there was the time he
left his GPS on the roof of his car. He realized it several miles
down the road and returned to the parking lot where he found it, no
worse for wear. His name is “yoda,” after all,
so maybe he uses The Force to find Blackberrys and phones –
and 2000 geocaches! But we are concerned that one day his luck will
run out and that he will stop finding his lost objects. So this
cache is designed to help him out.
The listed coordinates will send j3yoda to Stage One of this
multi, placed near a location where he could acquire a new phone if
– I mean, when - he loses his current one. The small
bison container will contain the coordinates to the second
stage.
At Stage Two, j3yoda could probably get a new GPS if – I
mean, when - he loses his current one. A magnetic keyholder
there holds the coordinates for the final.
The third - and final - stage will send j3yoda to a nice wooded
area in the city, with equipment he can use to exercise his
adventurous side. And the cache itself should appeal to a guy like
j3yoda who never hesitates to go out on a limb to get a cache.
Congratulations to a great geocaching friend. Keep it up!
