This cache is located off one of the trails in the park. We had stopped here while on a day-long hike of the park and decided that this was the perfect place for a cache. At the time, in January, there were a lot of green ferns growing adjacent to the cache location. Hence the name.
The terrain can be difficult depending upon your physical abilities and there is a slight climb off the trail to make the actual find, so be careful!
You are looking for a non camouflaged orange match tube that is concealed. Once you make the find, please replace it excatly as found so that it doesn't get muggled or lost.
Please observe the posted signs and only park where spaces are provided. There are a LOT of hikers and cyclists in the area and the roads are narrow, so please be careful as you drive through the park.
Also, you should plan on spending some time here as there are a lot of other caches in the area and the scenery is beautiful!
Note: Make sure that you have some cash on you as there is a $3.00 admission fee per adult to the park. Kids 6 to 12 are $1.00 each. Kids 6 and under are free.
