Borderline Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

duranclan: This cache has needed TLC for a long time and I’m half way around the world. It had a good run, more than 11 years, but it’s time to retire it.

Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache hidden along Fort Irwin Road. Near the borderline of Fort Irwin there is a small pull-out to park. From this first time I saw that I felt there needed to be a cache in the desert nearby. This cache is a simple hide in the desert. You will have to cross a small ditch and the tortoise fence to get to the cache. Once in the area the hiding spot should not be hard to find. While in the area make sure you also grab "Guarding Fort Irwin Vector".

Whatever you do - Do not cross the regular fence beyond the cache! The military will not be thrilled with you. This cache is hidden just south of Fort Irwin's border. That fence marks the borderline, so please respect it.

As with any cache in the desert - watch where you step and where you put your fingers.

Enjoy!
