Before the days of South Boston Speedway, Ziggy’s Pizza and Wal-Mart, South Boston was established in 1884 as a town abundant in Brightleaf tobacco. Textiles soon came and then we grew and grew. Nowadays, we’re a multi-cultural center for arts, food and interesting people who fondly call themselves “transplants”. No harm, you may not have been born here but you got here as quick as you could…
