This cache is the first in a series of hides I plan to place. This one is not so much about the hike as what you will encounter on your way to it. For those not from the area – you may find it neat. For those from WV – you will probably have seen many of these while hiking or traveling along back country roads. This one is functioning – but not all the time – so it’s hit or miss if you will see it in action or not (I hope you do.)
You can – and should – park at the bottom of the hill in a small and obvious pull-off. It is about 300 feet from the cache. After parking – head up the street, and the road/path from there will be obvious. For some reason I could only get coordinates no closer then 17 feet – so taking the hints “just in case” might not be a bad idea.
For interstate travelers heading towards Charleston – take a right off the exit ramp – and right again at the intersection.
For interstate travelers heading towards Morgantown – take a left off the exit ramp and a right at the intersection – you are on your own from there. It will take you about 3 minutes to get to the parking spot. The hike is short to accommodate those just “traveling through.”
Please do NOT attempt this cache after dark!
Wearing old shoes or boots IS recommended due to mud.
Please take the time to hide the container well.

The FTF is $2.79 – the price of a gallon of unleaded regular gas at the closest gas station on the day the cache was placed.
Note: While it is NOT required – we do ask that you participate in a quick survey. Since this cache will most likely be FTFed on the day the Vikings play in the 2009/2010 Championship game – the question is: 1) Based on his successful regular/postseason play – should Brett Favre return to the NFL next year (answer: “Farve yes” – in your log if you think he should return – “Favre No” if you think he shouldn’t.)
