Boulder Falls Traditional Cache
klmoate: Saying goodbye to the favorite of my caches. People were dumping trash and mud riding on the developers land causing the area to be posted with no trespassing signs. This was a neat area for a cache and hopefully may come open again when houses are built in the area.

Large ammo can stashed somewhere in these very slippery rocks. I don't recommend going at night. You will get muddy/dirty looking for this one. I might add that the coords ARE off intentionally to make this one more fun. 2-26-10 I upped the difficulty rating on this one due to the terrain and coords.
Boulder falls is the name of a particularly nasty climb located in Lechuguilla cave New Mexico. It is difficult to navigate the slope because many rocks get dislodged while you navigate the climb. Cave exploration has been one of my favorite and most rewarding hobbies. Some of the most beautiful formations I have ever seen are located in Lechuguilla cave which is named after a small desert plant.
This cache should prove a bit difficult as the coords are probably a little off. Even though it is a large ammo can there are lots of places it could be and the rocks make it very easy to slip and break your leg. You have to go through a very muddy area to get to this island of boulders so you had better bring your old shoes or boots. Someday houses will be all around here but for now all you get is thick red mud and large rocks.
