EAT Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is placed on private property with the owners permission. No need need to disturb the residents of the house or go on the lawn.

I come here about once a week with some friends and have for many years.

The nearby business has been operating for over 60 years and was one of the two main hangout places in town for high school kids for most of those years.

You are looking for an ammo can in a hollow tree. I gave it the rating I did because you will have to be able to stand to make the grab. Also critters sometimes live here so watch of them. The cache is attached to a chain that is connected to an eye bolt near the top of the opening so there is no need to reach into the tree more than 3 or 4 inches.
Give a look before you pull the chain to see if any critters are in residence, you don't want an angry raccoon encounter if one is here now.

The ammo can was a wedding gift from Climber5.11 and Rocketboy1. Since Climber5.11 archived a nearby cache we were able to make this hide.

Since the Ammo Can was muggled the container is now a good sized peanut butter jar.
*** This is not a safe place to leave trackables. ***
