Geocache Description:

In this area of Sarushima Island, you can enjoy a picnic in the sunshine while watching the many boats go by.

To get to Sarushima Island, you must catch the hourly ferry near Mikasa Park. Round trip cost for the 10 minute ride is ¥1,200 for adults and ¥600 for school age children.

This is the only remaining natural island in Tokyo Bay. In English it is called Monkey Island. The story is a monkey made a raft and floated to the island. There are no monkeys on the island at this time, but there are plenty of caves and WWII historical ruins about the island.

There is a small beach with lots of sea shells. The beach is open for swimming in the summer and BBQ all year round.
