Provider Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The Cache is located on the East side of Langness next to a
commemoration for the schooner "Provider" which was wrecked at the
spot in 1853 while on a voyage carying salt from Liverpool to
Glasgow - the master and 3 crew were lost, 1 crew member was saved.
The cache is a small clip-lock box with just enough room for a log
& small swaps, no climbing is necessary but you will need to
keep an eye on the kids as there are some dangerous cliffs in the
immediate area. This cache along with other two on Langness would
make for a pleasant circular walk arround the peninsula. A car park
is located at N54-03.668 W004-37.370
