This site was once a British Coal 'Open Cast Site'. When oprations were completed British Coal gave the site to South Staffordshire Council for the villagers of Newtown. In 2000 the Council gave the site to Essington Parish Council as a Millennium Gift.
The site falls within the 'Green Belt' and seprates the West Midland from Staffordshire.
This cache is a nasty magnetic nano!!!
You will need a pencil, may also need tweezers to remove the log.
Can be very wet under-foot!!!
Car parking is available at Long Lane on site between 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday – Friday and in the drive-way other times. Please note DO NOT PARK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DOUBLE GATE WHEN LOCKED. N 52 38.463 W 002 01.125
