A steep but moderate walk taking you through mixed woodland, with a heathery viewpoint on the top of Knock Hill. This series of caches can be done as a circular tour, giving you views of the Highlands to the north, upper Strathearn, Ben Vorlich and Comrie to your west, and to the south you will see the broad fertile valley and the Ochil Hills in the distance.
This hill is an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels for you to spot, or listen out for the various bird calls in the tree tops. To the south the trees are mainly birch (Betula pendula), beech (Fagus sylvestris), Oak (Quercus robur), the small rowan (Sorbus Aucuparia) and the odd Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) dotted about. In the springtime the woodland is covered with a carpet of bluebells.
Open all year round. Follow the signs to Crieff Hydro, where parking can be found behind the Hotel above its golf course, or take the Bus to Crieff and walk from the town. Toilets and many cafes are available in the town.

The cradle stone consists of two large erratic boulders about 40m hidden away on the western extremity of the Knock, at a height of nearly 600ft. It is said that these two pieces of granite were originally one block which was split by lightening.
