Continuing onward and upward from the Cradle stone to the very summit of the Knock, where the trees open out to views across the golf course, over Crieff and to the Strathearn Valley.
The Knock Hill is hill of 278 metres/911ft with a viewpoint indicator at its summit and well worth the walk. Here you stand on the boundary between the ruggedness of the Highlands, and the more gentle slopes of the Lowlands. Some splendid specimens of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) can be seen here.
