This cache series will take you along the Cwm Lickey Circular walk taking in the industry of The 'Race' area and the community that grew up around it. The Race probably got its name from the mining of iron ore, one of the many industries that developed in this area.
The walk will take you past the Old resevoirs; along disused tram roads; and will give you views of Llandegfedd resevoir and the Momnouthshire hills (on a clear day).
All caches may be completed as part of the series or independantly. For the bonus you will need to collect a clue from each of the log books within the caches to be able to work out the bonus cache co-ordinates.
Cache details: Small clip lock box in a camo bag contains log book, pencil and sharpener plus usual small swaps.
*To begin the walk: From the suggested parking area, with your back to Blaendare Road walk along the left-hand track. After about 80m the road forks; take the left hand track passing to the right of the two bungalows and then cross the stile into the field, bearing right and head for the path that passes between a patch of gorse bushes.
The circular walk includes stiles, and is on well defined footpaths that are either grassy or stoney (where you follow the old tram tracks) which can be uneven in places.
