'Cause we got a
little convoy...
This event is open to all! We'd love to meet up with anyone that is
either a local geocacher in Spokane and area or anyone else that is
travelling to GeoWoodstock VIII - come one, come all and meet the
Calgary Area Cachers and get a smiley for doing so!

This is a multi-faceted event cache. Whilst the focus is on the
evening-time relaxation in Spokane, this is merely the midway point
on a cross-country convoy ride from Calgary, AB to Carnation, WA.
Please join us during our journey - here's some of our
itinerary:
Day 1 continued
After crossing the border, we intend to arrive in Spokane at
about 6:30pm, giving us all time to locate our campsites/motels,
and then regroup at 8:00pm at Saks Restaurant in the Flying J
Travel Plaza (the posted coordinates). Hopefully, some local
geocachers will join us that evening and perhaps again the next
morning.
Day 2
We reconvene at Saks Restaurant for breakfast at 8:30am and fuel up
ready for a 10:00am departure.
We follow our planned route to Ellensburg for a lunchtime stop
(potentially another picnic, but feel free to gnaw on whatever
you'd like) and a quick detour to the A.P.E. cache if it is
accessible.
If all goes well, we will arrive in Carnation at about 6:00pm.
Again, we split for a little while to locate our campsites/motels
and then meet again at 7:30pm for supper at an as yet unknown
location (we'll probably bump into other geocachers in town, and
the plan is to "go with the flow"). However this is Canada Day! So
no matter where we end up we'll be wearing red, waving flags and
partying-it up, eh!
Day 3
After two days on the road and a non-stop itinerary this is a day
to relax and soak in the local atmosphere. Safe in the knowledge
that we will be one of the first groups to arrive in town, we'll
have lots of time to explore all that Carnation has to offer. The
day-time and evening agenda has been left blank intentionally for
those that just want some family chill time. Others may wish to do
some group caching and/or meetup in the evening for drinks -
everything is possible!
Day 4
What can we say - this is the reason for the season! GeoWoodstock
VIII and the Midnight Geocoin Madness II events are both on today,
so rest-assured there will be more than enough to see and do!
Day 5
Another unplanned day, but with the Groundspeak Lost & Found
Celebration event being held in Seattle today, Independance Day,
most will want to detour to Seattle for the day.
