LGE #11: Ljungby TB- and GC-hotel + SWAG place Traditional Cache

Ljungby's geocachehotel for exchange of Geocoins (GC), Travel Bugs (TB) and SWAGS (trade stuff). A 3,9 liter Lock&Lock plastic container.

Placeringen är precis bredvid Ljungbys halkbana. Här körde jag bil när jag tog mitt körkort 1998. Väldigt kul att köra halkbana (som jag tror de flesta tycker som har körkort :-)).

I vilket fall som helst så när jag var här åkte vi elever med en första instruktionstur runt banan för att "lära oss" alla kurvor och ratt-teknik. Efter detta instruktionsvarv så var det vi elevers tur att köra och jag blev lottad först, nervös som jag var så satte jag igång och köra. Efter ett första perfekt fullbordat varv så hörde jag i bilens walkie talkie: "Det där var bara tur! Fortsätt köra!". Jag kom ihåg att det kändes så härligt att göra en sådant perfekt runda, men sedan visade det sig att han hade rätt:jag hade just tur för nästkommande varv gick inte så bra, men det är en annan historia :-)...

En annan anekdot i sammanhanget är att en elev (inte jag) kom fel i en kurva och körde rakt ut i terrängen, med som följd att läraren skriker "Bromsa!!!" i walkie talkien, men det gör inte eleven utan gasar i stället... Det gäller att hålla reda på pedalerna. Hur det gick med bilen och eleven förtäljer inte historien eller jag kommer i alla fall inte ihåg det.

Några enkla regler för denna geocache:

- TB:s och GC:s finns i en separat ziplockpåse för 200% säkerhet mot blöta. Förslut den väl. Glöm inte att logga den/dem på geocaching.com så det går att följa den/dem korrekt. Kolla även vad respektive GC och TB har för uppdrag att slutföra så att den kommer till rätt geocache.

- SWAG-sakerna är i en annan separat ziplockpåse för 200% säkerhet mot blöta. Ta du en (1) grej, så lägger du en (1) annan grej i skyddspåsen. Självklart så kan du lägga en SWAG-sak i ziplockpåsen utan att byta till dig något.

- Glöm inte att skriva i loggboken, både fysiskt och på nätet. Skriv vilka GC:s, TB:s eller SWAG:s som du tar/lägger i. Ingen penna i loggbokens ziplockpåse, tack (pennas spets tar hål på påsen).

- Återförslut både ziplockpåsarna och geocachen korrekt och göm den väl, ingen vill att den blir mugglad.

NOTE!!! Be sure to re-hide the geocache properly (=so it can't be seen at all from a distance). Now I saw from several meters away (the same when I was here the last time and left TB:s/GC:s). Use the leaves which you can find lots of here. Thanks!

The place is choosen primarly for it's security against mugglers and secondly for the it's
close location to the motor way (E4). GPS accuracy: about 6 meters.

This geocache is placed next to Ljungby's skid-pan. When I was younger I drove here when I grabbed my drivers license in 1998. Really funny task (as I believe that most people with a drivers license think:-)). Anyway, at the time when I was here practicing driving in slippery conditions we, the pupils, got a first instruction run around the course. After that I got randomly choosen to drive first, nervous, nervous... I drove a perfect first lap and then I heard in the car's walkie talkie: "Just plain luck. Drive along!". I remember that it felt so good to at least have one perfect lap in the track record, but later on it turned out that the instructor was right. I hard just been lucky, because in the oncoming laps didn't end so well as the first, but that's another story :-)...

Another anecdote regarding this is that a pupil (not mer) drove into a curve and accidently got of the track and into the woods. Suddenly the instructor yelled in the walkie talke: "Stop! Brake!", but the confused pupil didn't do that, no, but instead gave more acceleration... You have to remember what all the pedals are for. How this incident ended I don't know of or at least can't
remember.

Some simple rules for you to follow when visiting this geocache:

- TB:s och GC:s is stored in separate ziplock bags for 200% wet security. Be kind and reseal them well. Don't forget to log the GC/TB at geocaching.com so they can be followed correctly. Be sure to read at the actual TB:s/GC:s homepage what it's desired mission is.

- the SWAG stuff is stored in a separate ziplock bag for 200% wet security. If you take one (1) stuff, you have to place one (1) thing in the ziplock bag. Of course you can place a SWAG thing in the ziplock bag without any trade.

- Don't forget to write in the log book, both physically and on the net. Do write which GC:s/TB:s/SWAG:s you take/put into the container. Please, no pencil in the log book's ziplock bag (the tip of the pencil make holes in the bag).

- Reseal both ziplock bags and the geocache correctly and re-hide the container well, no one wants it to be muggled.
