Rock 'n Roll Reborn Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

jim32809: Well, this ammo can has had a good run. It started as the final for a series of caches with a Rock and Roll music theme. The owner suddenly moved and archived all his caches without removing them, so I went out, put a new log book in, wrote up a new listing and "bam" - new cache!

I remember the days when this was Jellystone Park, an rv/mobile home park with a Yogi Bear theme. (That's why the lake in the middle is called Boo Boo Lake.) My dad had an old navy buddy who lived here, so we visited often. Access to the property has been flexible, with the front being gated, then not gated, and back and forth, but there was always the back entrance (created by fishermen) through the parking lot to the north. After being closed for many many years, someone has finally bought the property and announcements are up that building on the land will commence soon. There are already signs of land clearing.

When LizardSally called me about the cache, stating that the contents were not in great shape, I took advantage of her presence there and said, "Take it! I was going to archive it anyway!"

So RIP great cache location. Hopefully the new development will still offer new cache hiding opportunities.

This cache replaces "I Love Rock 'n Roll", the final for a multi-stage puzzle series which was archived when the owner moved from the area. This new cache uses the original container and is stocked with the swag that was there when it was last found in February of 2009.

Some times of the year the cache will be easy to spot, but some times it will be much more difficult.

I averaged the coordinates 100 times, but even then the GPS was jumping. It's there, but you will have to search hard.
