This site was once a marble quarry where nearly white marble was mined. Also there were some white with purple, red, orange and/or brown pigments imbedded. Where the large boulders are, you pass right by them, there used to be about three acres of the beautiful rocks. People have taken all of them now. Also, there were some solid black rocks taken from this site. If you walk to the top of this small hill you may still be able to see the hole that were drilled for blasting. There are many trails in this area so have fun exploring them. BYOP
