Geocache Description:

Paved area, wheelchair accessible. Many, many muggles. Near a street. Parking at meters some 30 feet away. Please return cache where it was found, for better or worse.

John "Button" Salmon was the football quarterback, baseball catcher and student body president at the University of Arizona in the mid 1920s. The day before the first football game of 1926, he and three friends were in an automobile accident. When his coach (Pop McKale) visited him in the hospital, JBS had a message for his team: "Tell the them...tell the team to bear down."

Bear down quickly became the motto for the University of Arizona and is heard across campus today.

The cache is placed near a memorial bust of John "Button" Salmon. Physically, it is a mini-Altoids tin, but reads "Mascot Mints." Log and pencils inside. Please replace as you found it.
