S.W.O.G. Traditional Cache

S.W.O.G. stands for SOUTH WESTERN ONTARIO GEOCACHERS. This cache is located at the Bethesda Baptist Church, the nearby cemetery as well as the church has a lot of history to be discovered.

I recently moved from Ontario, Canada to Mississippi after being there for over six years. I am one of the founders of S.W.O.G. This cache was donated by my friends in Canada and they had a couple of request for me to do. They thought that it would be really a neat idea if I created a cache in the MISSISSIPPI GEOCACHERS ASSOCIATION area. We are all cachers and have the same goals and want to promote Geocaching, be safe, support CITO and be respectful of people’s property. The second request is that this would be a cache to remind me of our Geocaching memories and not let me forget them. This cache contains some key chains, Canadian Money, collectibles that you might find in Canada. They thought it would be a nice place to swap items from Mississippi, the USA or Canada. Please bring your patriotic swag to this ammo box cache! They referred to me as their translator to the south, lol. I think they finally adjusted to my Southern accent after all the time we spent together. I will miss all of my caching friends dearly and we all share a common desire to cache with friends and family and have great fun doing it. I have permission from the Church to hide this cache, so you don’t have to use your extra stealth mode. We do want to prevent muggles from finding the cache, so please be alert of others. Please bring a pen. The FTF prize was a First Aid Kit. As always, please have fun!
