Near Dobbins Lookout, a nice high place to view downtown Phoenix from a peak in South Mountain. Also the starting point for hiking trails.

This cache is to replace an archived cache called "Dobbins Lookout". It may or may not be in the same hiding place, but coordinates are similar.
The cache is just a short walk downhill from the parking lot above, and is a slight way off the trail. No large amount of rock-climbing is involved.
South Mountain Park's hours have changed! The road to the Summit now closes at 6pm. Be aware that the 3rd Sunday of the month is Silent Sundays - no cars allowed. If you decide to bike or hike to the cache, then the difficulty rating would be...quite a bit higher!
Cache is now a medium lock-n-lock container. Please hide better than you found it, this seems to be a high-traffic area. As always, be on the alert for snakes, scorpions, and other desert friends among the rocks. This area could use a bit of CITO, and you could make some cash from it, as most of the trash is in the form of recyclable beverage containers.
Enjoy the lovely views of the city and the dramatic mountains beyond. A great spot for a picnic lunch.
