Geocache Description:

We thought this area needed another cache so we decided to bring cachers to this interesting area of Michigan. Summerfield Township in Clare County has a population of 453 people according to the 2000 census. Leota is the primary village in Summerfield Township. The Post Office in Leota was established on June 15, 1899.

The cache is a small container that should be relatively easy to find. Please cache during daylight hours only and observe posted rules. We left a Sacagawea coin in the cache for the FTF. Have fun caching!

While placing the cache in this seemingly remote area, we had three vehicles drive by and check out what we were doing. So - - even though this is a few miles from the nearest town, please watch out for the muggles!
