Welcome to Bendigo’s Sacred Heart Cathedral. We selected this spot because we think that this is one of the best views in Bendigo. Don’t forget to take your camera.
The Cathedral is worth a visit and is a spectacular example of a Gothic Cathedral design, with stained glass windows, paintings and sculptures, and is magnificent when illuminated at night. The Cathedral was built in two stages. The first stage, which comprised the nave and side aisles, was opened in 1901. There was a long interval until 1954 when work recommenced and the second stage was completed in 1977.
You are looking for a micro cache container, deviously disguised in a manner that experienced geocachers will be accustomed. The cache is easily accessible at all hours. At times, this area will be much busier than others, so you may need to be strategic with timing your visit.
Take yourself to the posted co-ordinates. This is not where the cache is so don’t start diving into the bushes. You don’t need to enter the cathedral, and please be respectful of other visitors. If you wander around the posted co-ordinates you will find the answers to the following questions, which will reveal the location of the cache.
What number Short Street is the Presbytery ? = AB
